I've only read TFiOs and An Abundance of Katherines and I definitely found the latter better than the first one. I don't know, I guess the pretentiousness felt right because it featured a smart character that thought too much and even calculated the odds of him getting a Katherine for a girlfriend. I've always found Green's writing, while lyrical, to be pretentious sometimes, and it just didn't feel that great when it came to Hazel and Augustus. Haha. Both books are still really good though. I still need to read the rest of his works.
I've actually not read any books by John Green. I know! Whaaaat. But I do have TFiOS and Paper Towns on audio though, I just need to actually listen to them!
